Libyan Door & Window Factory Upgrades to PPGI + GI Materials, Achieving Higher Product Durability and Export Growth
2025-07-01
Libya’s door and window industry is shifting from heavy traditional steel doors to lightweight, corrosion-resistant steel systems. A well-known manufacturer sought to upgrade their product line to improve corrosion resistance, surface finish, and market competitiveness.
We shipped 4×40HQ containers of mixed coils:
PPGI (0.4–0.7 mm) for decorative outer panels
GI coils (0.3–0.5 mm) for internal structural reinforcement
The PPGI coils provided excellent surface gloss and anti-scratch performance, while the GI coils offered strong bending and punching properties without cracking or flaking.
These materials were used to produce:
Light-steel doors
Louver window panels
Door frames and decorative trims
Roller shutter side components
The manufacturer reported reduced defect rates, smoother forming performance, and enhanced corrosion resistance. With the new materials, they successfully expanded sales to Tunisia and Egypt, achieving a 40% increase in export orderswithin the year.
